Description
The Windproof Down Hooded Parka is built for the coldest stretch of the year. It is filled with white duck down at 70% content, between 150g and 200g of fill depending on size, which is what delivers real warmth without the dead weight of a padded synthetic coat. The broadcloth shell blocks wind rather than letting it cut through, and the whole coat comes in at around 1.2 to 1.5kg.
It runs long, past 26 inches, so it covers well down the thigh and keeps cold off the lower back and legs. A fur-trimmed hood closes the gap at the neck, and a full-length zipper runs the length of the coat so nothing opens up in wind. Knit construction through the body and a regular fit leave room for a jumper underneath without the coat pulling across the shoulders. Applique detailing keeps the surface from looking flat.
Sizes run S through 6XL against Asian sizing keyed to height, from 140-150cm at S up to 195-200cm at 6XL, so read the chart against your own height rather than assuming your usual letter. Available in black, blue and grey. Down keeps its loft when it is stored hung and uncompressed: hang it in the off-season, and have it professionally cleaned rather than machine washed.

Down That Earns Its Warmth
Seventy percent white duck down, 150g to 200g depending on size, does the insulating so the whole coat stays under 1.5kg. You get deep winter warmth without the dead weight of a padded synthetic shell.
Built To Block Wind
The broadcloth shell stops wind rather than letting it cut through, and a full length zipper closes the coat end to end. A fur trimmed hood shuts the gap at the neck where cold usually gets in.
Long Enough To Matter
At over 26 inches it covers well down the thigh and keeps cold off the lower back and legs. The regular fit leaves room for a jumper underneath without pulling across the shoulders.

Frequently Asked Questions
How warm is this parka really?
Very. It is filled with 70 percent white duck down at 150g to 200g depending on size, which is the fill that carries you through the coldest stretch of the year. The broadcloth shell blocks wind, and the hood and full length zipper close off the two places cold usually finds a way in.
How do I choose my size?
Sizes run S through 6XL on Asian sizing keyed to height, from 140 to 150cm at S up to 195 to 200cm at 6XL. Read the chart against your own height rather than your usual letter. The regular fit still leaves room for a jumper underneath.
How long is the coat?
Long, over 26 inches, so it covers well down the thigh. That length is what keeps cold off the lower back and legs, and it is the main reason this works as a deep winter coat rather than a transitional one.
How heavy is it to wear?
Around 1.2 to 1.5kg, which is light for the warmth it gives. Down does the insulating work, so you are not carrying the bulk that a padded synthetic coat of the same warmth would add across the shoulders.
How should I care for it?
Hang it rather than compressing it, especially in the off season, because down keeps its loft when it is stored uncompressed. Have it professionally cleaned rather than machine washed and the fill and the fur trim will hold up season after season.
