The fill is 90% white duck down at more than 300g, a heavier fill than most fashion parkas carry, and it shows in the weight: around 1.19kg of coat that traps heat rather than simply blocking wind. The broadcloth shell is dense and smooth, cutting the wind without the rustle of a technical nylon.
The cut is long, over 26 inches, so it covers well past the hip and keeps cold off the lower back and legs. A full-length zipper closes the front and the hood detaches, which turns the coat from a storm parka into a cleaner city coat in a few seconds. Pockets are built into the front, and the regular fit leaves room for a heavy knit underneath without pulling across the shoulders.
