The Tribeca Swing Cape Jacket trades the usual coat silhouette for something with more movement. Cut as a wide A-line swing cape, it falls freely from the shoulder with no belt and wide arm openings, so it drapes rather than follows the body. The effect is dramatic without being impractical, and it goes over almost anything underneath.
The fabric is a navy wool-blend cloth with genuine weight to it, which is what gives the cape its drape: a lighter fabric in this shape would float rather than hang. A high structured collar with buttons closes at the neck, and a discreet front zip or storm flap keeps wind out at the chest. Patch pockets sit on the front, positioned to be useful rather than decorative.
It works best as a statement layer over slim bottoms, where the volume up top is balanced by a narrow line below. Wool-blend cloth holds its shape when hung properly, so use a broad hanger and give it room on the rail.
